A Quack of Hope

Hope, Arkansas

With J.J. Kwashnak and Russ Minton

August 2011

There are several sites across Arkansas set up to honor favorite son Bill Clinton, native of the Natural State, Governor, and President. In fact their trail is called a "Billgramage" and one of the stops is in Hope - where Bill Clinton was born and grew up.  Included are the first houses lived in by Clinton.

Clinton Home 1

The first of them is a small white house that has been turned into a museum.

Clinton Home and Sign

Not much to impress the visitor, but then again as Bill talked in his campaign, it started in humble beginnings and ended in the most powerful position in the land.

Clinton Home Flagpole

Or more famously - "I believe in a place called Hope"

Clinton Home Sign.

Arkansas is also the home to the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock.
